Set into crock pot on keep warm.
Pour boiling water in up to about 1 inch up the jar.
Put on high and cover. Leave for 2 hours
The wax will be half the volume when melted down.
Add coloring, if desired. We used candle dye blocks.
Stir with a wooden chopstick. Then, alternate between stirring and adding more wax. Fill almost to the top, leaving a small gap (1/2 -1").
Once filled, cover (if you wish).
Put lid on and let sit on high for another 2 hours.
Once remelted, remove from pot.
Add fragrance oils and additives now. We used pomegranate fragrance oil and ground cardamom. Stir well.
Once it starts setting, place the wicks with use of chopstick. I cleared a small hole in the semi-firm wax on the bottom and set the base of the wick in the hole.
Snip excess wick.
Grab a bite and let them cool completely (a couple of hours, depending on the size of your candles).
Enjoy your candle!
